Warm Your Soul with This Easy White Sauce Pasta Recipe!
Before I proceed to the recipe let me share with you a little story about this special dish.
This was a working evening during the rainy season: everything was wet and gray, and I needed something hot, smooth, and bland. The pantry was just that: a pantry that had bare essentials—pasta, milk, and a couple of veggies on hand. And that’s when the concept of white sauce pasta came to me. It has been quite some time since I tasted it but I never attempted to prepare it on my own. So with some trial and a whole lot of rejoicing, I made my version of white sauce pasta, and believe me it was fantastic!!!
Well, if you are such type of person who relishes items with a cream aspect to them as a feature, then this recipe is for you. Now let me start straight without wasting much time.
Ingredients (Serves 2-3):
- Cook 2 cups of penne or any pasta of your choice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour is also called maida.
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup grated cheese select mozzarella or processed cheese.
- 1/2 big size of onion finely diced
- 1 medium capsicum / Pepper (sliced thinly)
- 1 small carrot grated or chopped.
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- Other spices such as ground black pepper and food iodized salt to taste.

- Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes

How to Prepare Creamy Delicious White Sauce Pasta:
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Boil 4 cups of water in a pan on medium flame on the stovetop. Add one teaspoon of salt and a few drops of oil.
- And then add the pasta and boil until they are al dente that is still ‘firm to the bite’. Empty the water in the sink and keep it in a pot for reuse later.
Step 2: Prepare the White Sauce
- Butter has to be melted in a pan and for this, you need a low flame.
- Add all-purpose flour and stir for the next few minutes until the color turns golden brown.
- With whisked eggs add the milk gradually so that we can treat all the whisked eggs and not lump. The food needs to be piled up while it thickens up to the form of a sauce.
Step 3: Add Cheese and Seasoning
- Stir into the white sauce and the grated cheese should melt.
- It is spiced with salt black pepper, oregano, and chili flakes.
Step 4: Saute the Veggies
- In another pan melt 1 tbsp butter and fry similarly garlic onions capsicum and carrots for 2-3 minutes.
Step 5: Combine Everything
- Mix the defeated vegetables into the white sauce and the pasta gently.
- Mix it well so that when you add your pasta into the sauce, it should submerge easily in the sauce.
Step 6: Serve Hot
- Slowly top this on the pasta on the plate, adding flakes of dry oregano and chili flakes and finally tapping this food joy!
Tips:
- In accommodating the vegan way, one has to substitute milk and cheese with their vegan substitutes.
- Super addition for taste can be boiled sweetcorn or mushrooms.
- Make use of whole wheat rather than white pasta.
